Welcome to the Lawnchair Bets community! These Community Guidelines help ensure that Lawnchair Bets remains a fun, safe, and respectful place for all users.

By using the App, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.

What's Not Allowed

❌ Hate Speech and Harassment

Prohibited:

• Hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Bullying, harassment, or targeted attacks against individuals
• Threats of violence or harm
• Doxxing (sharing private information without consent)
• Stalking or unwanted contact after being blocked

Why: Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected in our community.

❌ Adult and Inappropriate Content

Prohibited:

• Sexually explicit content or nudity
• Graphic violence or gore
• Content that sexualizes minors
• Content promoting self-harm or suicide

Why: Lawnchair Bets is a sports community, not a platform for adult content.

❌ Spam and Manipulation

Prohibited:

• Spam posts or repetitive content
• Unsolicited promotions or advertising
• Using bots or automation to manipulate engagement
• Creating fake accounts or coordinated inauthentic behavior
• Artificially inflating likes, follows, or bet counts
• Posting unrelated content to gain attention

Why: Authentic engagement makes the community valuable for everyone.

❌ Illegal Activity

Prohibited:

• Promoting or facilitating real-money gambling or illegal betting
• Sharing illegal content or promoting illegal activities
• Attempting to scam or defraud other users
• Copyright infringement or intellectual property violations
• Attempting to hack or compromise the App's security

Why: Lawnchair Bets is for entertainment only and must comply with all laws.

Reminder: This is a simulated, entertainment-only platform. No real money is involved.

❌ Impersonation and Misinformation

Prohibited:

• Impersonating other users, celebrities, or brands
• Creating misleading profiles or usernames
• Deliberately spreading false information
• Misrepresenting your affiliation with teams, organizations, or individuals

Why: Trust and authenticity are fundamental to our community.

❌ Disruptive Behavior

Prohibited:

• Intentionally disrupting conversations or the user experience
• Trolling or posting inflammatory content to provoke reactions
• Encouraging others to violate these guidelines
• Circumventing bans or suspensions with new accounts

Why: Everyone deserves to enjoy the App without disruption.

Enforcement

We take violations of these guidelines seriously. Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, we may:

🟡 First Warning

For minor, first-time violations:

• Action: Content removed + warning notification
• Effect: Account remains active
• Note: Multiple warnings may lead to suspension

🟠 Temporary Suspension

For moderate or repeated violations:

• Action: Account suspended for 7 days
• Effect: Cannot post, comment, or interact during suspension
• Note: You can still view content but cannot participate

🔴 Permanent Ban

For severe or repeated violations:

• Action: Account permanently banned
• Effect: All access to the App revoked
• Note: No refunds (though the App is free), ban evasion prohibited

Examples of Severe Violations:

• Threats of violence or harm
• Severe harassment or hate speech
• Sharing illegal content
• Coordinated manipulation or bot networks
• Repeated violations after multiple warnings

Reporting Violations

If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines:

How to Report

1. In-App Reporting

   • Tap the three-dot menu on any post or comment
   • Select "Report"
   • Choose a reason and submit

2. Email Support

   • Contact support@lawnchairlabs.com
   • Include username, content link, and description of violation

What Happens Next

• Our team reviews all reports
• We take action within 24-48 hours for most reports
• You'll receive confirmation when we take action
• Reports are confidential (the reported user won't know who reported them)

False Reports

Repeatedly filing false or malicious reports may result in action against your account.

Appeals

If you believe your account was suspended or content was removed in error:

How to Appeal

1. Email support@lawnchairlabs.com with:

   • Your username
   • Description of what happened
   • Why you believe the action was incorrect

2. Our team will review your appeal within 3-5 business days

3. You'll receive a response with our decision

What to Know

• Appeals are reviewed fairly and objectively
• We may overturn decisions if they were made in error
• Repeat violations or severe violations are less likely to be overturned
• Our decision on appeals is final

Blocking Users

If you have a negative interaction with another user:

You Can Block Them

• Go to their profile → tap three dots → "Block User"
• Blocked users cannot see your content or interact with you
• You won't see their content either
• Blocking is reversible (you can unblock later)

When to Block

• Someone is harassing you
• You want to avoid certain users' content
• Personal preference (no reason needed)

Note: Blocking does not report the user. If they violated guidelines, please also report them.

Sports Betting Reminder

• No real money is involved
• This is not gambling or betting
• Picks and predictions are for fun
• Do not use this App to facilitate real-money bets
• We do not provide betting advice
